On April 20, 2009, Postshadow.com became aware of a copyright infringement by focaldomain.com involving content and layout infringements of our copyrights, amounting to the virtual cloning of our site. Further copyright infringements were also found in Google search returns for Postshadow.com linking directly to focaldomain.com. We regret having to issue this statement, but for the protection of our customers and to avoid any confusion, we felt this announcement necessary. After no responses to our contact attempts were received, today April 21, 2009 we filed a copyright complaint to have their website taken down. We expect the website will be taken down in 24 hours or less, though no reply has been received by focaldomain.com. If necessary, further cease and desist steps will be taken.
We first became aware of this while testing search engine returns and doing key word testing on our page titles. A simple search string including "postshadow.com business center" yielded a return on an identically titled Business Services page at focaldomain.com.
Copyright infringement and other forms of intellectual property theft are a large problem on the internet. Postshadow is committed to furthering the protection of such intellectual property, branding, and trade content, be it ours or someone else's.
